Let’s explain this in a simple way!
Gramola’s primary goal is to unite as many of Puerto Rico’s independent artists as possible within a single space. We envision this platform as a ‘National iPod’ or a ‘General Archive’ for the independent music scene. Our intent is not to compete or act as a commercial middleman; we simply recognized a need for organization and a home for the artists’ collective work.
Here is what you need to know.
We want to make sure our publishing and verification process is clear for everyone. Our goal is to verify that you’re the original creator of the content you’re sharing.
i Quality Control and Order Click to expand
Gramola does not allow you to upload music directly (like YouTube for example). It will be our job to verify each artist and their legitimacy before anything is published. We want to keep our platform clean, organized, and professional. If we allowed anyone to upload music directly:
- There would be millions of mislabeled, inaccurate, or duplicate audio tracks.
- Many people would upload pirated or copyrighted content.
- It would complicate the project, and we’d end up getting sued.
Gramola works only by copying or sharing your music or podcast from the platforms (Soundcloud or YouTube), just as you would do with anything on Facebook or Instagram.
i Embedding Music to Gramola Click to expand
- You’re not uploading music to our Platforms.
- You’re just sharing content that’s already hosted somewhere else.
- The player (YouTube, SoundCloud) will appears on Gramola, but your music only lives on those platforms.
So, what is Gramola good for?
- Make it easier for people to Discover and listen to your songs.
- Showcase your music (embedded from other platforms).
- Clicking on the music on our platform will add a new view on the source platform.
